There are two stages where our architects and architectural designers provide a vital service for the success of your building project. Stage 1 - Planning Permission
Before you can do any building project, you need to ensure that all planning requirements are satisfied. Our architects and architectural designers prepare the initial concept planning drawings to show exactly what you propose to do.
Once you are happy with the concept drawings, we then discuss the proposals with the local planning authority to determine what planning approvals will be required (see our planning page) and make the planning application for you. Having successfully submitted literally hundreds of planning applications, we have the knowledge and systems in place for the highest possible chance of obtaining planning permission.
But we don't stop there...
We follow the application throughout the decision process and give you advice as and when needed. We recognise the importance of obtaining planning permission for your project and we actively work towards obtaining it for you. Stage 2 - Building Control Approval
Possibly the most important step in the design process is the detailed design of your project. This is a separate process from the Planning Permission and is needed to ensure that your building satisfies the Building Regulations.
The detailed design drawings and specifications (Building Control package) show all of the technical and construction details of your project. This is the information that the builder will use to accurately price and build your project from.
This is also the information the Building Control Officer will use to check and approve the construction work as it progresses. Our architects and architectural designers have a wealth of knowledge on the detailed design of buildings.
